During an explosion intended to knock him down, Toro experienced burns on his body, felt pain, and likely became exhausted from chasing the campers, causing him to give up. The Carnotaurus, known as Toro, possesses a robust and muscular physique that enables its survival in challenging situations. As a result, the smaller theropod quickly fled from the food. However, this action led to an attack from Rexy, who forcefully smacked the Carnotaurus away with her head. Instead, it attempted to snatch food from Rexy. The Carnotaurus adopted a low stance, indicating its readiness to pounce, but it hesitated due to the potential threat posed by the larger predator. Despite the failed attempt, the Carnotaurus persisted in hunting the humans once again.Ī Carnotaurus was observed displaying hunting behavior towards Mills, but it noticed the presence of a larger theropod, Rexy, nearby. However, this particular Carnotaurus spotted a larger prey, a Sinoceratops of similar size, and attempted to tackle it but was unsuccessful. It displayed a tendency to prey on food sources, including humans. At least one individual, which would latter be nicknamed Toro by a group of campers from Camp Cretaceous, was kept within a quarantine pen due to it being deemed too aggressive for guest viewing.ĭuring the island's volcano eruption, a Carnotaurus exhibited aggressive behavior, potentially driven by high levels of hunger. There seem to be two color variations of the Carnotaurus: one is a subdued red with several black marks across its entire body, while the other is mainly black with reddish-pink marks going from the face and across the back. They were slightly oversized, being 10.4 meters (34.10 feet) rather than 8 meters (26.2 feet) when fully grown, had pronated wrists like all of InGen’s cloned theropods, has a shrink-wrapped face, had spikes rather than rounded osteoderms, lacks lips covering its teeth, has larger arms than in life with actual elbows, claws on all four fingers rather than just three of the four of the originals, and the speed was reduced. The Carnotaurus clones look a bit different from their real-life counterparts. Ĭarnotaurus has become quite famous as a result of its starring role in the Disney animated film Dinosaur however, the animal depicted in the film is closer in size to Tyrannosaurus rex than the actual real Carnotaurus. In this way, two Carnotaurus could test each other's strength without either of them seriously injuring the other. The horns of Carnotaurus look something like those of a bull - and like a bull, it may have used them in contests with others of its own species. In fact, research has indicated that despite Carnotaurus’ small head, its jaws were able to open very widely apart from other theropod dinosaurs in order to catch prey. With its small skull and weak bite force, Carnotaurus might not have been able to attack big plant-eaters, but it was probably fast due to its long and powerfully built legs and could have easily chased down smaller, agile prey. The neck and shoulder blades were well developed, but the arms were incredibly short, with forearms so shrunken they were practically just wrists not even Tyrannosaurus rex had such small arms. Its skull was short, with spiked armor in the form of feature scales across its body (skin impressions show this, although it is unknown around the face since the impressions for that area were destroyed) on the top and a pair of knobby horns over its small eyes. Carnotaurus ("meat-eating bull"), was one of the most bizarre yet dangerous meat-eating dinosaurs ever found.
